Excursion
An excursion is one of intereting activities. Therefore, many students from international countries have the same interest as me. Uxcursion is one of oppurtunity for most students in MUELC. Last monday, me and other friends, we have been to excursion on Parlaiment House in the city. we traveled around in the House with the guied tour.
Parliament House
It's one of the most intresting places I have visited in my life. In the Parliament House we had to listen to the guide that gave us alot of information about the house. Also my friends and me took some pictures of the Lower House ( green house) and the Upper House ( red house). In addition, we learned more information about the history of Australia especially Melbourne.
The Parliament House
It was the first time for me to see the inside of the Parliament House. We could realise how Victoria’s political system had been established and developed, or rather it is still developing. Sitting in the chairs used by ministers, I thought about what comments I would make if I were one of them.
Excursion-Parliament
This Monday my classmates and I went to visit Parliament. The Parliament consists of the Upper House and the Lower House. When I came into the Upper House, I was attracted to its luxurious decorations.
Drinking in Melbourne
I came to Melbourne 3 months ago. Every thing or every place was strange to me at first time. So, I had lots of difficulties in adapting myself in Melbourne. But, last week I had a chance to drop by Melbourne Central Station and to drink a beer at a certain pub located in 3rd floor. That pub was very filled with many people. I ordered a beer and spent good time with my friend in there.
On excursion day!!
We went to Parliament house on Monday, September 24, 2007. I saw Parliament house a lot. However, it was the first time that I had seen inside the building. Inside of the building was so beautiful and romantic. I had an impression that the architecture of Parliament house had been influenced by England. The guide expained to us many things about Parliament house. I enjoyed a lot.
Our Excursion To Parliament House
It was very exiting experience to see the place where they make the Victorian state laws. When we arrived there ,it was a beautiful buliding and it was like a small castle. After we entered the bulding, we go to Lower House. Its walls have a gold lines.

FOODS in melbourne
Melbourne is a multicultural city, so you can find any kinds of foods and restautants; italian, chinese, korean, japanese, vietnamese, indonesian,,,anything. Of course there are famous Australian foods. I introduce to you some foods and restaurants in Melbourne which I've tried.
1.BEGEMITE
Begemite is one of the famous Australian food. Taste is solty, and many people say that smell is so terrible...exactly! Actually almost international students around me don't like begemite, but I think it is worth to try. Just try it with piece of bread.
2.TIM TAM
Tim Tam is also famous here. It is composed of two layers of chocolate biscuit, separated by a light chocolate cream filling, and coated in a thin layer of textured chocolate. Tim tam is loved by many international students especially girls.
3.LYGON STREET
Lygon Street has the biggest selection of Italian restaurants and cafes of anywhere in Australia. I've visitid only 2 restaurants in Lygon street, and both were very nice although price was expensive for students. As you know, Melbourne has fresh oysters. If you want to eat oyster, I reccomend you to go to Lygon street.
4.CHINA TOWN
Melborne has a big China town in the city and there are many chinese restaurants there. One dumpling restaurant is popular among the international students. Price is also cheap, you can enjoy meal less than $10.
5.BUFFET in crown
There is a buffet restaurant in crown casino. It has various kinds of foods. You can enjoy freshvabetables, chiken, beef, ramb, fishes, soup, and sweets. If you pay more extra money, you can eat special shore dinner. Cost is changed by the day;Saturday and Sunday are highr than Monday to Friday. It is around $20.
I go to there when i have special things for example someon's birthday. This place is not only delicious foods and also enjoyable.

Living in Melbourne
I first lived in Melbourne in 1978, when my daughter was a baby. I returned here from Thailand in 2000 and have lived here ever since. I like the fact that Melbourne has easy access to green spaces and that it provides more theatre, concerts and drama performances than anyone could possibly attend.

Being in Melbourne
My first visit here Melbourne was around 12 years ago. I studied English at Clayton campus for a year.
Compared with taht time, it is much harder to live there because of higher cost of living.
Apart from these problems, it is exciting for me to be in Melbourne.

living and studying in Melbourne
When I thought about studying in Melbourne last year I read a lot of information about everything weather, culture, people and universities.
That helped me when I arrived last year in September 2006 because I prepared my self for what I will face.

living in Melbourne
I will write about my first impression in Melbourne. When i arrived at Melbourne airport, it was raining. On the way to my home stay house, I could see a lot of different views with Korea. There were many trees on the streets and the height of buildings was lower than my expectation. In general, most of buildings and houses in Korea are high because the territory of Korea is not wide, compared to populations.
Living in Melbourne
Melbourne is a multicultural city. Therefore, most people can easily find foods from their hometown, but the weather here is changing all day. There are four seasons in a day, so it is difficult to choose suitable clothes to wear.
First impression of Melbourne
When I came to Australia for the first time, I was worried about many things; English, school, studying, life, friends, and so on, because this is my first time to visit another country. But It was dessapear soon because students and teacher all are kind for me, and I thought that Monash has good emvironment to learn.
All about experiences
Melbounrne is a big beatutiful international city. I took a look into the sky when i stepped out the airport, I liked it. I spent almost an hour to get to the palce that i will be living for a long time. Living in melbourne is like living in another big international city, all you need is to have more experiences about the city and people. The city is more exciting than Auckland, where I lived for almost 2 year.

Living and studying in Melbourne?
What are your thoughts and feelings about living and studying in Melbourne? After living overseas in London and Cologne, Germany I did not find it too difficult to adjust to life in Melbourne. The city is more lively than I remembered it, but perhaps the people aren't as friendly as they used to be.
